Hurrah for Syrah! Cool climate Shiraz – or Syrah, as we like to call it. It’s superbly deep and savoury, yet somehow lightly dances on your tongue. Delicious squelchy cherries, blackberries and blood plums on the nose and palate with white pepper, mace and cinnamon. Fine tannins and a delicate use of oak let the vineyard shine. Rather complex and needs a big glass to open up.
